Darlene has a strong legacy of enterprise IT leadership and a drive for delivering solutions that transform the business and focus on end-user experience. She is known for her passion for helping others and recognized for team building and leadership centered on ethics, integrity, value of diversity and respect for everyone.
She was hired by Epitec in March 2021 as Head of Technology after supporting the company as a consulting CIO developing and implementing a technology roadmap including several quick-win projects that enabled the scheduling of thermal screeners at customer sites, and a fully integrated mobile-first texting experience allowing recruiters to easily contact and communicate with top candidates.
Prior to Epitec, Darlene was CIO of Novares Group, a top 10 automotive plastics supplier with 49 sites in 23 countries, where she led the company’s strategic technology advancement including a strong focus on cyber security and digital solutions. She also spent several years with Ford Motor Company and Visteon, working in IT, engineering, and operations. She is a self-proclaimed “car girl” at heart.
Darlene is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and leads several joint activities with UofM and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) focused on engaging students with opportunities in technology.
She is a member of the governing body of the Detroit CIO community, a chief mission officer for MCWT encouraging and mentoring girls in information technology, and a founding member of T-200 Lift, a global group of women CIOs focused on elevating women in technology.
