Epitec is pleased to announce its continued support for the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWT). Epitec supports MCWT’s dedication to building a thriving and diverse IT talent pool and is proud to be a Diamond Elite sponsor. As a minority-owned staffing company, we have a firm understanding of the importance of diversity in the workplace and are proud to have an impact on the information technology and engineering workforce in Michigan.
Epitec began supporting MCWT in 2012, and in 2018, we became a top-level sponsor. Our leadership and employees have had the opportunity to serve in various roles within the organization including as officers of the board and in an advisory capacity.
Chief Sales Officer, Rebecca Bray, served as president of MCWT in 2018, and led the organization to improve internal operations and expand the vision statement to align with programmatic initiatives and include both girls and women. In 2019, Bray joined fellow past presidents of MCWT in contributing matching gifts to the organization’s new scholarship fund.
“We understand that engaging young girls with technology at an early age will lead to a diverse pipeline of IT professionals in the future. We are proud to support and inspire this next generation of technology leaders,” says Rebecca Bray, chief sales officer and 2018 president, MCWT Foundation.
The team at Epitec engages with MCWT in many ways, including: volunteering with the Camp Infinity summer program for middle and high school girls; assisting at the annual scholarship awards banquet; speaking at programs in Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids; and supporting annual events including the golf outing and gala.
Serving on the 2020 MCWT Advisory Board for Epitec are Rebecca Bray, Sheila Hall, senior account manager, and Maria Lopatkova, manager of sales and recruiting.
