| Position: | Data Scientist Analyst (Job Code: 1375) |
| Duties: | Responsible for performing data based solutions using ETL pipelines for customers in an Agile environment; work with customers to gather requirements and choose optimal solutions to create data products, and maintain, implement, and monitor them; collect, store, transform, process, and analyze huge sets of data and integrate data sets with the architecture used across the company; work on optimization techniques on SQL and Python codes for faster and efficient ETL solutions; develop ETL pipelines using Hadoop/GCP; utilize Hive, PySpark, JSON, shell scripting, Terraform, Jenkins, and GIT to perform duties; implement ETL processes such as data transformation; ensure data quality and maintain profiles of data products; monitor performance and advise on any necessary infrastructure changes; comply with data governance and privacy policies; define data retention policies; handle issues in the ETL pipelines by finding the root cause and fixing them; use Git for version control and Jira for project tracking; and perform migration activities, including ETL pipelines from Hadoop to GCP. Location: Southfield, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US; Salary: $124,800 per year; |
| Minimum Qualifications: | Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as a Data Engineer, as a Data Scientist, as a Software Engineer Intern, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year’s use of all the following: Hive, PySpark, JSON, shell scripting, Terraform, Jenkins, and GIT. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. |
