Job Description

· Responsible for developing and enhancing the risk and control environment within the businesses. Works with minimal supervision. Actively manages and escalates process and risk impacting issues to management.

What You’ll Do

· Responsible for assessment and monitoring of business processes for areas of risk and opportunity. This includes working with business owners to create procedures and process flows, complete procedure reviews, facilitate process testing, and identify compliance failures and root causes, as well as analyzing changes and defects related to the process.

How You’ll Do It

· Provide management with reporting on process testing, recommendations to policy/procedures to enhance process or mitigate risk, and complete adds, changes or rewrites of business procedures and controls to reduce risk while optimizing business processes.

· Works cross-functionally to ensure process documentation meets enterprise policies and standards

· Analyzes risk and operations data. Interpret data for the purpose of supporting key business goals such as risk environment monitoring and risk mitigation

· Assess processes for risk and control effectiveness. Supports control design process and assess processes for any control gaps or enhancements needed to ensure effectiveness of controls.

· Formulate controls, control mapping, and audit responses in conjunction with BRIC and Business VP and Director. This includes control design reviews, coordinating annual assessment processes, internal and external audit and ensure business aligns with control risk ratings.

· Complete testing of processes and controls and assess compliance with procedures and controls related to enterprise, compliance and operational risk policies and standards.

· Report monthly testing results, trends, remediation, and root cause reviewed to management including opportunities identified within the processes for policies, procedures, and control enhancements.

· Coordinate and support process, risk and control assessment/mitigation initiatives.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

· In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in Banking Management/Banking Compliance/Regulatory Compliance/Quality Review or related field

Bonus Points If You Have

· Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

· 4+ years of experience in Banking Management/Banking Compliance/Regulatory Compliance/Quality Review or related field

· 2+ years of experience in People Management

· Certified Regulatory Compliance Management
