Location: Hybrid – Occasional onsite work in Detroit, MI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 
Employment Type: Contract, W2
Duration: 10 months, with possibility for extension 
Pay: $21.00/hr
 

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support Medicare Part D members and healthcare providers in a fast-paced contact center environment. In this role, you will use your pharmacy knowledge and customer service skills to assist with prescription benefit questions, coverage determinations, and program-related requests. This is primarily a remote position with occasional onsite work as part of a hybrid schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to member and provider inquiries related to prescription benefits, coverage, and medication programs
  • Process inbound requests and documentation accurately and within strict turnaround times
  • Apply knowledge of drug names and drug classes to support coverage and benefit determinations
  • Provide clear, professional, and empathetic customer service in a contact center setting
  • Document interactions and outcomes across multiple systems
  • Manage multiple tasks while meeting productivity and quality expectations
  • Adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and workflows during peak business periods

Work Schedule

  • Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (schedule may vary)
  • Hybrid role with required onsite work on a rotating basis
  • Increased volume during peak season (October–March)

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Strong working knowledge of drug names and drug classes
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (typing, Outlook, Excel, and similar tools)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change

Preferred Qualifications

  • Call center or healthcare contact center experience
  • Familiarity with CMS or Medicare Part D concepts
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
