Physician Health Coordinator
Job Type: W2 contract
Hours: 40/week M-F
Pay Rate: $20/hour

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Health Coordinator (Appeals Non-Clinical) to join our dynamic team! In this remote role within Illinois, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Montana, or Tennessee, you’ll play a vital part in helping members and providers navigate the appeals process, providing exceptional support and making a difference in people’s healthcare journeys.
What You’ll Do:
- Respond to inquiries from members, clinicians, and physicians with professionalism and empathy.
- Distribute appeals to clinicians based on specified parameters.
- Maintain production standards to meet department goals.
- Support clinical staff by handling non-clinical tasks essential for case resolution.
- Research appeal cases and communicate findings to involved parties.
- Upload clinical data to external review organizations when necessary.
- Delegate work items efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with team members and external partners.
- Uphold HIPAA, compliance policies, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Contribute to special projects and provide ongoing updates to management.
What You Bring:
- 1-2 years of experience with automated systems or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with database or PC applications.
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and resolve issues efficiently.
- Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in healthcare appeals or claims processing.
- Familiarity with healthcare management platforms.
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are a plus.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- College coursework or technical training in healthcare or related fields.
- Experience supporting members, analyzing needs, and coordinating care.
