Schedule: TRAINING – 4-week period, 3–4 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. CST
REGULAR – At least two weekends per month (Saturday and/or Sunday) and 8-hour shifts. 
Pay: $105 per hour

Job Summary

This role provides medical necessity reviews for pre-service clinical requests on a remote, weekend-only schedule. The position requires an initial 4-week training period, followed by ongoing weekend coverage for at least two weekend days per month. Physicians work 8-hour shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with a productivity expectation of 32 cases per day. This is a fully remote role and can be performed from any U.S. state. 

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct pre-service medical necessity reviews based on established company guidelines.
  • Evaluate clinical service requests to determine appropriateness and alignment with evidence-based criteria.
  • Complete required training over a 4-week period, 3–4 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. CST.
  • Provide weekend coverage for at least two weekend days per month (Saturday and/or Sunday).
  • Meet productivity expectations of at least 32 cases per weekend day.
  • Document determinations accurately within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed to support review processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards.

What You Bring

  • Board Certification as an M.D. or D.O.
  • Unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort working in digital review platforms
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong clinical judgment and familiarity with evidence-based practice
  • Willingness to commit to initial training and ongoing weekend coverage
