Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer – Electrical/Electronic Hardware & Body Interior

We’re hiring a PVT Engineer to support electrical/electronic hardware and Body Interior systems at the Chicago Assembly Plant. This role focuses on improving product quality, driving root?cause investigations, and supporting engineering changes across key vehicle systems.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze daily warranty data and customer/dealer feedback
- Lead root?cause investigations and develop corrective actions
- Support Stop Builds/Stop Ships, Campaigns, and quality audits
- Drive engineering changes for current production and minor launches
- Work with VRT teams and suppliers to resolve subsystem issues
- Manage quality documents (SAQ, Top 20 concerns)
- Present updates to leadership and cross?functional teams
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical, Systems, or related Engineering field
- Experience with both Electrical/Electronic and Body Interior systems
- Understanding of CAN communication and module?controlled functions
- Ability to troubleshoot components like seats, restraints, door trim, IP/cockpit modules
- Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills
