POSITION: Field Test Coordinator
JOB TYPE: W2, Onsite, Full-time, ongoing contract, 1st Shift (8:00AM – 5:00PM EST, with occasional after-hours support for international teams)
LOCATION: Columbus, IN (Onsite travel required, local candidates preferred)
COMPENSATION: $58-61
Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Test Coordinator to support field validation activities and execution for an active project involving engine-powered equipment.
This role is a mix of project management, stakeholder coordination, and hands-on field support, where you’ll act as the central point of contact across engineering, product teams, and external partners. You’ll be responsible for aligning teams on timelines, deliverables, risks, and overall project execution.
A major focus of this role is managing complex equipment repower activities, including coordinating and supporting engine installations, validation, and troubleshooting in real-world field environments.
Ideal candidates are self-starters who can juggle multiple stakeholders, understand how engines integrate into equipment/chassis, and communicate effectively across global teams. This role requires someone who can operate independently, anticipate challenges, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute field validation activities for ongoing projects
- Act as the primary point of contact across engineering, product, and external teams
- Manage timelines, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder communication across a global team
- Support and oversee engine repower events, including installation, validation, and troubleshooting
- Travel to field locations (U.S. and Canada) to support repower activities and issue resolution
- Ensure alignment across teams and hold stakeholders accountable to milestones
- Identify risks early and escalate issues to keep projects on track
- Balance multiple workstreams and competing priorities effectively
- Document field activities, project status, and key updates for stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with repower activities (engine installation/replacement)
- Strong understanding of engines and how they integrate into equipment/chassis systems
- Proven project management / coordination experience
- Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills across cross-functional and global teams
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes
- Willingness to travel domestically and to Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with OEMs
- Field testing or validation experience
- Strong troubleshooting experience with mechanical or engine systems
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams
- Background in powertrain, heavy equipment, or industrial engines
