Job Title: Software Verification Engineer I
Contract Duration: 6 months, possible extension
Location: Little Canada, MN
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Pay Rate: $30-32 per hour
Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber Software Verification Engineer I to join our innovative and fast-paced Software Verification team. This role focuses on ensuring software quality and compliance through requirements analysis, test design, execution, and defect resolution. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and brings strong testing discipline within regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements to develop effective verification strategies
- Plan, write, and execute test cases in accordance with Abbott practices, FDA regulatory requirements, and ISO standards
- Design and maintain test suites for new features and functionality
- Perform dry runs and formal verification and validation (V&V) activities
- Set up and configure required test equipment
- Identify, document, track, and close defects identified during V&V activities
- Participate in and contribute to requirements, design, and test reviews
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of software testing principles
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and lifecycle management tools
