Position: Supply Operations Associate III

Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract

Pay: $40-45 per hour

Responsibilities:

Improve the performance of an operation by determining requirements for projects and coordinating with other employees, including engineers and quality assurance professionals, to implement and test new supply chain methods.
Review substantial amounts of data and problem-solve within supply chains
Sample projects can include, improving the management structure of a warehouse stocking program, restructuring how material goods make it to the corporation’s warehouse, and helping expand on a company’s relationships with suppliers and carriers
Translate business problems into a solution for information technology (IT) technicians
Coordinate the movement of materials across the state to support just?in?time (JIT) production needs, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing lines.
Manage logistics activities related to past?due purchase orders, identifying risks and expediting materials to meet production schedules.
Monitor and maintain material deficits, proactively identifying shortages that could impact operations.
Review work orders to determine material availability gaps and take corrective action to prevent line downtime.
May also do site visits to locations such as warehouses

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or operations analytics, with demonstrated process improvement work
Ability to analyze large datasets
Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel
Experience translating business problems into technical requirements
