EPITEC is seeking a Project / Program Manager (Non?IT) 3 to support Intellectual Property (IP) programs within Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division. This role partners closely with engineering, legal, and strategy teams to ensure IP processes are embedded into product development and innovation efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate non?IT projects, developing detailed plans and directing the integration of technical and business activities
- Manage and maintain the intellectual property portfolio, including patents and related documentation
- Track E&ES programs from an IP perspective to ensure compliance and strategic alignment
- Coordinate project and IP reviews with the IP Strategy Manager and IP Legal teams
- Schedule and facilitate invention capture sessions for new technologies
- Support IP integration at key development stages (NTI, Small Batch, NPI gateways)
- Drive execution of NDAs, MDAs, service agreements, and contract routing for approvals
- Ensure invention notification forms and patent filing decisions are completed prior to public disclosures
- Provide administrative and coordination support for Patent Review Board activities
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- 5–7 years of project or program management experience (Master’s accepted with 3 years)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Legal, or related field
- No associate (2?year) degrees accepted
Certifications:
- PMI / PMP preferred
Internships:
- Not accepted as qualifying experience
