Quality Engineer
- Job Type: W2 Contract
- Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future
- 3rd Shift
- Schedule: 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- 40 hours per week with up to ~5 hours of overtime as needed
- 50–75% of time spent on shop floors
- Metatarsal footwear is required
- Pay Rate: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour
The Quality Engineer supports product and process quality by investigating quality issues, analyzing data, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role is highly shop?floor focused and provides work direction to inspectors while supporting quality objectives across manufacturing operations.
Education
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred, but not required
- Candidates with other degrees and equivalent work experience will be considered

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Additional software and quality?related activities can be trained
- Shop floor manufacturing experience
- Team?based work approach
- Experience using quality tools and practices
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria and ensure identification of quality concerns
- Investigate unit?level quality issues related to products and processes
- Gather and analyze data, facilitate issue resolution, and implement corrective actions
- Provide work direction to inspectors on containment activities, quality procedures, and tools used to monitor critical processes
- Facilitate quality?related discussions with internal and external customers to drive corrective actions
- Generate monthly quality reports to monitor metrics and participate in management reviews
- Identify and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
