Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Warren, Michigan
Job Type: Full-Time
Expected hours per week: 40 hours
Schedule: Onsite 6am-3pm
Pay Range: $38-45 an hour
Job Description:
The Quality Engineer supports pre?production vehicle builds by identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues on the manufacturing floor. This role works hands?on with production, engineering, and quality teams to perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure build issues are prevented long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre?production vehicle builds in Body Shop and General Assembly
- Investigate and resolve build and quality issues on the manufacturing floor
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long?term corrective actions
- Use statistical and data?driven methods to identify trends and defects
- Document issues, actions, and outcomes with strong follow?through
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams daily
- Independently manage assigned quality issues in a fast?paced environment
Required Skills / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive, or Engineering)
- Foundational automotive or manufacturing knowledge (powertrain or complete vehicle)
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem?solving methodologies
- Statistical analysis skills; experience with Minitab
- Strong communication and cross?functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work hands?on in a 100% onsite manufacturing environment
