We’re looking for a detail?driven Accounting Analyst to support claims balancing, reinsurance accounting, and audit support across Commercial and Government lines of business. This role handles complex, high?dollar transactions and partners closely with actuarial, audit, and automation teams.
What You’ll Do
- Balance EFT, claims, checks, and refunds across multiple lines of business
- Review daily offshore claims balancing using Alteryx automation and resolve variances
- Prepare advanced journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
- Research and resolve complex or escalated accounting issues
- Support reinsurance reporting, YTD financials, and contract changes
- Partner with Actuarial on reinsurance adjustments
- Record and reconcile multi?billion?dollar paid claims entries
- Support Internal Audit, MAR, and EY (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
- Serve as a key point of contact for claims, banking, and regulatory inquiries
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance + 3+ years accounting experience
or 6+ years of accounting experience - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with reconciliations, variance analysis, and audits
- Intermediate–Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
Nice to Have
- Statutory accounting or reinsurance experience
- Alteryx, SQL, Access, or automation project exposure
- CPA or MBA (or in progress)
