Senior Frontend Engineer (React & TypeScript)
Epitec is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer (React & TypeScript) to support a large, enterprise?scale digital platform for the largest U.S. automaker.
This role is ideal for a frontend expert who thrives in modern Agile environments, champions Test?Driven Development (TDD), and takes ownership of application performance, observability, and long?term health.

? Key Responsibilities
-
Design, develop, and deliver high?performance, scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript
-
Build modular, reusable components aligned to enterprise and global architecture standards

Collaborate closely with Designers, Backend Engineers, Product Owners, and Architects

Create high?fidelity UI mockups and prototypes; participate in design reviews and demos
-
Lead automated UI, functional, and performance testing using TDD
-
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and complex production issues
-
Implement application instrumentation and observability
-
Monitor production health using Grafana, Splunk, and GCP Cloud Logging
-
Ensure cross?browser compatibility, SEO best practices, and WCAG accessibility compliance

Participate in pair programming and mobbing sessions

Provide application support, SLA?driven fixes, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
? Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years frontend development experience supporting large?scale enterprise applications

Expert?level proficiency in:

React (Hooks, Context API, State Management)

TypeScript
-
HTML5, CSS / SCSS

Strong experience with:

Automated UI & performance testing (Cypress, Playwright, Jest, Selenium)

Test?Driven Development (TDD)

Agile / Scrum environments

Hands?on experience with:

Observability & monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, GCP)

Responsive, mobile?friendly UI development

SEO and accessibility (WCAG) standards

Proven experience supporting production applications and performing RCA
