Job Summary
Provide manufacturing engineering support for engine builds and testing within a lab and office environment. This role offers a balanced mix of hands-on work with engines and technical desk-based responsibilities, including tooling design and process support. The position involves close collaboration with technicians, mechanics, and engineers while gaining exposure to research and development workflows and internal engineering systems. This is a strong opportunity for individuals seeking practical experience alongside technical development in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support engine build and testing activities through hands-on troubleshooting and engineering guidance.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standard work instructions for manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Design and coordinate tooling solutions, including concept development and tooling procurement.
  • Participate in Built-In Quality (BIQ) walkbacks to identify and resolve process or quality issues.
  • Work closely with production personnel, mechanics, and technicians to improve workflows and efficiency.
  • Assist in process optimization initiatives within both lab and office environments.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and provide status updates under the direction of the Team Lead.

Years of Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Associate degree accepted with 6+ years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Internship experience may be considered in place of full-time experience.
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree will not be considered for this role.

Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and task management abilities.
  • Experience with tooling design and development of standard work processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude with exposure to engines or testing environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is desirable.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
