Facilities Project Manager

Job Type: W2, 6-month Contract

Job Location: On-site – Round Lake, Illinois 60073

Pay Rate: $72 – $77 an hour
 

We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager to lead a facility renovation initiative. This role requires strong project execution skills, supplier coordination, and a deep understanding of construction and compliance standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee various aspects of a facility renovation project.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards and cost targets are met.
  • Administer and control project documentation, including narratives and drawings.
  • Manage capital facilities projects by drafting Scope of Work (SOW) or User Requirements, participating in design reviews, and leading execution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, challenging them on timelines and technical deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel.
  • Plan project activities and tasks using dedicated management tools.
  • Promote a team-oriented management philosophy in decision-making processes.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities and/or construction project management.
  • Proven experience with facility renovation projects and ability to work independently.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate contractors, and execute tasks effectively.
  • Track record of managing diverse activities and leading teams.
  • Capable of organizing and presenting technical and project overviews independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to lead in a matrixed team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Effective communicator across various formats and audiences.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, and purchasing practices.
  • Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
