Facilities Project Manager
Job Type: W2, 6-month Contract
Job Location: On-site – Round Lake, Illinois 60073
Pay Rate: $72 – $77 an hour
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager to lead a facility renovation initiative. This role requires strong project execution skills, supplier coordination, and a deep understanding of construction and compliance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee various aspects of a facility renovation project.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards and cost targets are met.
- Administer and control project documentation, including narratives and drawings.
- Manage capital facilities projects by drafting Scope of Work (SOW) or User Requirements, participating in design reviews, and leading execution.
- Collaborate with suppliers, challenging them on timelines and technical deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel.
- Plan project activities and tasks using dedicated management tools.
- Promote a team-oriented management philosophy in decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities and/or construction project management.
- Proven experience with facility renovation projects and ability to work independently.
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate contractors, and execute tasks effectively.
- Track record of managing diverse activities and leading teams.
- Capable of organizing and presenting technical and project overviews independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to lead in a matrixed team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with entrepreneurial thinking.
- Effective communicator across various formats and audiences.
- Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, and purchasing practices.
- Must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs.
