Mechanical Engineer – Lafayette, IN | Hybrid Opportunity
Pay: $33 – $36 an hr
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of advanced mechanical systems. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced engineering environment focused on product performance and continuous improvement.
Location: Lafayette, IN
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Model: Fully onsite initially, transitioning to hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop mechanical systems, components, and equipment
- Analyze design proposals, specifications, and technical documents for feasibility
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and delivery
- Create and review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience with CAD tools and engineering design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to engine systems, performance development, or mechanical system modeling
- Experience with simulation or data-driven engineering analysis
- Understanding of mechanical system performance and validation processes
