Job Title: Behavioral Health Quality Improvement Specialist

Schedule: Flexible (Part-Time)
Pay Range: $40 per hour


Position Description:
This role is responsible for facilitating clinical quality improvement projects, audits, and reporting within a behavioral health managed care environment. The specialist will lead provider and member outreach initiatives, analyze program effectiveness, and support strategies that improve quality of care and cost outcomes. This is a 100% remote role focused on outreach support with no travel or field visits required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and monitor assigned clinical quality improvement projects, audits, and reporting initiatives.
  • Conduct member and provider outreach to support quality programs and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze data and statistical reports to evaluate program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with providers, members, and internal teams to implement and track quality initiatives.
  • Assist in development of QI program documents including work plans, evaluations, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, government regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Support population health programs through research, assessments, and data collection tools.
  • Maintain ongoing documentation for audits, reporting, and accreditation reviews.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings related to quality improvement and managed care initiatives.
  • Coordinate with behavioral health providers and state agencies on program performance and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active independent behavioral health license (LPC, LCSW, or LCPC)
  • 3+ years of clinical practice experience
  • 2+ years of experience in utilization management, case management, quality improvement, or project management
  • Experience with member and/or provider outreach or training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Data analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Behavioral health or managed care experience
  • Quality improvement or project management experience
  • Experience working with regulatory/accreditation standards
