IT Project Manager / Organizational Change Management (OCM) Project Manager
Location: Fully Onsite – Alhambra, CA
Schedule: 4-day workweek (Monday–Thursday), 10-hour days
Position Overview
This role combines IT Project Management and Organizational Change Management (OCM). You will lead and support IT projects while ensuring smooth adoption of changes across the organization. This includes managing project execution, coordinating across teams, and driving change management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage end-to-end IT projects, including scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and release plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, business, and external partners
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead project meetings, status updates, and executive presentations
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with policies and regulations
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and integration efforts
Organizational Change Management (OCM)
- Lead change management activities for IT and business initiatives
- Develop and execute communication, training, and stakeholder engagement plans
- Conduct change impact and readiness assessments
- Support adoption of new systems, processes, and organizational changes
- Create materials such as training guides, communication plans, and process documentation
Operations & Compliance
- Support PCI compliance, security initiatives, and risk management efforts
- Participate in change control processes and governance activities
- Ensure proper documentation, procedures, and training are in place
- Conduct analysis such as cost-benefit or feasibility studies when needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Skills
- Strong IT project management experience (planning, execution, risk management)
- Experience leading organizational change initiatives
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities
Technical & Functional Knowledge
- Business process improvement and reengineering
- Financial management and cost analysis
- IT systems, infrastructure, and system lifecycle
- Risk management, quality assurance, and compliance
- Tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar (process mapping)
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of IT project management experience
- 3+ years in a lead project management role
- 5+ years leading change management efforts (process, systems, or organizational changes)
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with measurable results
- Experience with PMO, governance, or program-level initiatives
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, IT, Organizational Development, or related field)
- PMP certification (required)
- Preferred:
- Prosci or CCMP (Change Management Certification)
- ITIL certification
