About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Indirect Services Buyer II to support the procurement of software services, SaaS solutions, IT/Engineering Technology (ET) hardware, and related professional services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of technology products and services that support their mission of building a road to space.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in indirect procurement, supplier negotiations, software licensing, and technology sourcing while thriving in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, IT/ET hardware, and professional services.
  • Review requisitions and create purchase orders in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contract language, and service agreements to maximize value and mitigate risk.
  • Evaluate and interpret software licensing agreements, subscription models, maintenance contracts, and support terms.
  • Partner with IT, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while addressing delivery, invoicing, quality, and performance concerns.
  • Track procurement metrics including cost savings, supplier performance, procurement cycle times, and spend trends.
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and process improvements.
  • Maintain procurement records and documentation to support audits, compliance requirements, and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience with a focus on indirect spend categories.
  • Experience sourcing and procuring software services, SaaS solutions, and/or IT hardware.
  • Understanding of software licensing structures, SaaS subscription models, and technology procurement practices.
  • Strong supplier management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with ERP or procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of government contracting procurement requirements, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent.
  • Experience utilizing contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
  • Familiarity with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and technology purchasing strategies.
