Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial Engineering background to support manufacturing and distribution operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role will focus on process optimization, work measurement, continuous improvement initiatives, and shop floor support. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting time studies, improving manufacturing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities

Support manufacturing and distribution operations with a focus on process improvement, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Conduct time studies, work measurement analyses, and labor evaluations to support incentive pay systems, including Continuous Improvement Pay Plan (CIPP) programs.

Develop, document, and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, tooling, and process standards.

Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Provide daily shop floor support, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.

Participate in preventive maintenance initiatives and facilities-related improvement activities.

Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical reports.

Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to support continuous improvement efforts.

Utilize Microsoft Office applications to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate project results.

Maintain a strong safety mindset and support all plant safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred; recent graduates with relevant internships, co-op experience, or project work will also be considered.

Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution operations.

Knowledge of time studies, work measurement techniques, and labor analysis.

Experience improving manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods.

Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan).

Background in shop floor manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.

Experience working with quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance processes and facilities support activities.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk on the manufacturing floor approximately 60% of the workday.

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds as needed.

Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment.
Work Environment

100% onsite position.

Business casual dress code.

Candidates must be comfortable working on the shop floor and interacting directly with production personnel.

Metatarsal safety boots are required on the first day.
