Location: Mossville, IL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $44.00 – $48.00/hour

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development and integration of advanced autonomous machine technologies. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements, integrate hardware and software solutions, support validation efforts, and deliver innovative features for next-generation autonomous equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage system-level requirements for autonomous machine systems.
  • Translate customer and business needs into technical requirements and system architectures.
  • Support hardware and software integration across complex machine platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, validation, and product development teams to deliver new features and capabilities.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and technical risk assessments.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project status, and design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Support field and proving-ground testing activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in a product development environment.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software systems.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, validation, and requirements management.
  • Experience working with CAN and Ethernet communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with autonomous systems, autonomous vehicles, or advanced machine control systems.
  • Background in construction, mining, heavy equipment, or off-highway vehicle industries.
  • Experience with system architecture, requirements decomposition, and technical trade-off analysis.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
