Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Onsite
Pay Range: $40 – $43 per hour
Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to lead second shift manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment. In this role, you will supervise production employees, coordinate workflow, support manufacturing processes, and drive performance related to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. This position serves as the primary link between shop floor employees and management and will spend the majority of time supporting operations directly on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise machining and production employees during assigned shift operations.
- Coordinate workflow and staffing assignments to meet production schedules and business objectives.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, guidance, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to established quality, safety, delivery, and cost standards.
- Communicate departmental goals and production expectations to team members.
- Support production planning activities and adjust resources to meet operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining processes, manufacturing equipment, and production challenges.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Review production metrics and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Complete and verify employee timekeeping and shift documentation.
- Investigate and address policy, procedural, and compliance concerns within the operation.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing, machining, or production leadership experience.
- Prior experience supervising or leading employees in a production environment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in manufacturing, machining, production, or industrial environments.
- Ability to spend approximately 75% of the workday on the shop floor.
