Location:
Remote (Must be located in Michigan- Manager will not be reviewing applications of people located outside of Michigan)

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 

Type:
W2 Contract

Long term on-going contract

Pay Rate:
$40-$45 an hour 

Project Scheduler Responsibilities

  • Organize, implement, and maintain project scheduling systems to support project plans and contract requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Establish project tasks and subtasks to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintain and update the P6 database with schedule changes, progress updates, and new project information.
  • Generate and distribute scheduling reports to support project coordination, contract administration, and management reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, contractors, superintendents, field engineers, and project managers to plan and coordinate work activities.
  • Define project scope and develop baseline schedules while identifying schedule variances and potential risks.
  • Monitor schedule performance, evaluate progress, and identify developing problem areas.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and assess schedule constraints to determine the impact of changes and recommend recovery strategies.
  • Develop and maintain weekly project schedules in collaboration with project leadership and field personnel.
  • Support project change management processes, procedures, and systems to maintain schedule accuracy.
  • Assist in creating periodic status reports to keep management informed of project progress and schedule performance.
  • Analyze schedule delays and recommend alternative approaches to recover lost time and maintain project objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to actively participate in project meetings and communicate schedule information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, including:
    • Layouts
    • Activity Codes
    • Resources
    • Group & Sort Functions
    • Reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting schedule data and critical path impacts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or other PMI certifications preferred but not required.
  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), CST, or other AACE International certifications preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of P6 Schedule Quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with Project Gating procedures and project lifecycle management.
  • Previous experience supporting Renewable Energy or Clean Energy projects is highly preferred.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree candidates will be considered favorably during the selection process.
