Work Arrangement: Remote (Local Talent Only)
Could go into office about once or twice a week to go into the lab; but could be some weeks when they don’t have to go into lab
Pay Range: $70 – $75/hr

What You’ll Do
We need a strong local engineering candidate who can work in our Marlborough lab, collaborate closely with hardware vendors, and help innovate on our store technology platform across key projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain enterprise Windows gold images, Sysprep processes, and OSD solutions
  • Build automation using PowerShell and modern automation platforms
  • Support SCCM/MECM packaging, software distribution, and deployment workflows
  • Automate driver, BIOS, firmware, operating system, and application lifecycle processes
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, networking, operating system, and store technology issues
  • Work directly with vendors on hardware validation, testing, and solution development
  • Manage complex technical initiatives from design through enterprise deployment
  • Support Point of Sale systems, thin clients, printers, scanners, and related store technologies
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long term platform strategy
  • Promote engineering best practices across the team

Expertise Required

  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, a proven track record of working without heavy oversight, and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through delivery.
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Windows Client and Windows Server Engineering
  • Enterprise gold image design, Sysprep, and image lifecycle management
  • Operating System Deployment, including task sequences, imaging, deployment validation, and troubleshooting
  • SCCM/MECM packaging, software distribution, and operating system deployment
  • Core infrastructure knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, hubs, switches, and routers
  • Proven ability to work independently, plan the work, and drive outcomes without constant oversight
  • PowerShell Scripting and Automation
  • Driver, BIOS, Firmware, and Operating System Management
  • PC Hardware Architecture, Troubleshooting, and Diagnostics
  • Source Control Platforms such as GitHub
  • Experience working directly with vendors and cross functional engineering teams
