Actuarial Senior Consultant (Analytics Analyst III)

Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL

Pay Rate: $70-$80/hour
Duration: 6- Month Contract (Potential Extension)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Senior Consultant to support a leading insurance organization's Specialty Pricing team. This role will focus on actuarial pricing, profitability analysis, predictive modeling, financial analysis, and risk assessment for management liability and financial lines products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and provide data-driven insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing strategies and profitability initiatives.
  • Analyze trends, loss experience, and portfolio performance to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance actuarial models and analytical tools.
  • Support forecasting, financial analysis, management reporting, and statistical research.
  • Partner with underwriting, claims, finance, and actuarial teams to provide business insights.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Contribute to predictive modeling, deductible analysis, and special analytics projects.
  • Assist in evaluating risk, profitability, and business performance across insurance products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Associate or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS).
  • Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial principles, statistical concepts, and insurance operations.
  • Experience with actuarial pricing, forecasting, profitability analysis, and modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience.
  • Experience with Financial Lines coverages, including EPL, E&O, D&O, Fiduciary, and Fidelity.
  • Predictive modeling and deductible analysis experience.
  • Programming experience with R and/or Python.
  • Data science or advanced analytics background.
  • Financial analysis experience within an insurance environment.
