Network Engineer 5 (LAN Analyst)
Location: Irving, TX (100% Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Compensation: $60-$68/hr W2 + Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Match
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a large enterprise infrastructure team supporting LAN environments across multiple North American locations. This role combines hands-on network engineering, troubleshooting, project work, and operational support within a complex enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking experience, a solid understanding of enterprise LAN technologies, and the ability to collaborate across technical teams to deliver reliable network solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues across enterprise environments
- Support LAN-related projects and infrastructure initiatives
- Configure, maintain, and support Cisco switching environments
- Design and implement network improvements and process enhancements
- Collaborate with network, security, wireless, firewall, and infrastructure teams during planned changes and implementations
- Follow ITSM processes and maintain accurate change documentation
- Work directly with business partners and vendors to support network initiatives
- Provide technical guidance regarding LAN technologies and best practices
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical incidents as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with:
- Cisco switching technologies
- LAN implementation and support
- TCP/IP fundamentals
- Ethernet technologies
- VLANs and VLAN trunking
- IP subnetting
- OSPF routing
- QoS
- Copper and fiber cabling
- Network troubleshooting and support
- Experience working within enterprise change management and ITSM processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA certification
- Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center) experience
- Wireless networking experience
- Network automation and scripting experience
- Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments
- Manufacturing IT experience is a plus

Interview Process
- One onsite panel interview
