Recruiting Coordinator (Contract)
Pay: $18-$20/hr
Location: Peoria, IL
9-Month Contract
First Shift: 40-hours/week

We are seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle while partnering closely with Recruiters, Sourcers, Hiring Managers, and candidates.

What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and operational support to the recruitment team throughout the hiring process.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars for candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
- Generate recruiting-related correspondence, documentation, and candidate communications.
- Send interview details and ensure candidates and hiring teams are prepared for upcoming interviews.
- Support offer letter and contract distribution processes.
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, security clearances, and other pre-employment activities.
- Assist with collecting and reviewing onboarding documentation.
- Update and maintain recruitment systems and candidate records.
- Support the creation and submission of new hire records for HR processing.
- Ensure all required day-one documentation is completed and routed appropriately.
- Partner with recruiters, sourcers, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and work within recruitment systems such as Taleo, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-volume hiring environments.
- Familiarity with recruitment processes, policies, and HR procedures.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, PeopleSoft, Workday, or similar tools.
