Production Supervisor
Location: West Olive, MI
Pay Rate – $35/hr 
W2 Contract

Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of a power generation facility. This role involves coordinating and supervising daily activities across operations, production, and support teams. The Supervisor sets team priorities, aligns work with other supervisors, and makes decisions guided by company policies, safety culture, and business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and ensure safe, efficient production.
  • Coordinate work activities and set task priorities for the team.
  • Participate in Operating Reviews and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Apply lean methods to identify and eliminate waste, drive cost savings, and support automation.
  • Advise leadership on budget needs and operational improvements.
  • Recommend changes to systems and facilities; maintain job order reports.
  • Use enterprise software systems for work management and reporting.
  • Collaborate with support groups to prioritize work and resolve equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Maintenance teams.
  • Respond to employee concerns and guide resolution of performance issues.
  • Inspect jobs and lead operating evolutions to ensure quality and safety.
  • Complete administrative tasks including time sheet approvals and policy updates.
  • Manage on-call resources and participate in on-call rotation.
  • Oversee PPE acquisition, inspection, and replacement.
  • Supervise bargaining unit employees and contractors in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Train and develop operations personnel for quality and efficiency.
  • Administer the Union Contract and company policies.
  • Lead or support special projects as needed.
 

Required Skills

Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field, Skilled Trades, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 2–4 years in roles demonstrating technical knowledge of power plant or industrial operations.
