Service Engineer
Work Schedule:
Remote, with 50-70% travel 
Location: Warren, MI
Pay Rate: Starting at $50/hour, depending on chosen benefits
**Must live close to the airport**

About the Role
Join a dynamic team as a Service Engineer 4, supporting technical diagnosis and troubleshooting for home charging and energy distribution/storage systems. This is a new position created to meet the growing need for onsite technical support in the industry. You’ll work in a mix of office, laboratory, and residential customer environments, collaborating closely with hardware and software engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite troubleshooting and analysis for residential home charging and energy distribution/storage systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, supporting installers, technical advisors, and customers.
  • Communicate technical issues and repair processes clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Use diagnostic tools to ensure high customer satisfaction during issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with customer care and operations for onsite support.
  • Support product returns and warranty processes.
  • Document findings and deliver required reports.
  • Train other field service engineers and contribute to technical training materials.
  • Provide feedback to improve products, processes, and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in the electrical/electronic field, with a strong background in electrical work. Candidates with journeyman, engineering, or installation experience are highly preferred. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred; open to candidates with a high school diploma (HSD) and relevant experience.
  • Skills:
    1. Strong oral and written communication skills.
    2. Deep electrical/electronic experience.
    3. Knowledge of installation and electrical codes.
