Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Payments team as a Business Analyst This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external acceptance partners—including Acquirers, Merchants, Processors, Payment Gateways, Integrated Payment Providers, Payment Facilitators, and Point-of-Sale (POS) software developers—to ensure our payment acceptance is fully integrated, compliant, and supported across the payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with external partners to support seamless payment acceptance and compliance across platforms.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to partners and internal stakeholders, resolving operational challenges and ensuring alignment with Discover’s acceptance standards.
  • Intake, track, and resolve system failures and non-compliant conditions related to card transaction processing, including POS testing and remediation activities.
  • Provide day-to-day support for acquirers, issuers, processors, and network-to-network partners by researching complex issues and delivering timely solutions.
  • Manage multiple business client relationships simultaneously while supporting department-level analytics and reporting tasks.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues to ensure smooth processing, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in electronic payments and the merchant card processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and partner operations.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Snowflake
    • Tableau
    • Salesforce
    • Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced PC competency including Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong internal and external client management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
