Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Lafayette, IN
Details: 24-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, fully onsite role
Pay Rate: $19.00 – 21.00/hr. based on benefit inclusions
Job Summary
Join a growing team in Lafayette as an HR Support Specialist. This role offers exposure to a large-scale manufacturing environment and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful HR initiatives. You’ll support employee relations, conduct investigations, resolve pay issues, and assist with general HR functions—all while collaborating with salaried and hourly teams across the site.
Responsibilities
- Conduct employee relations investigations and document findings
- Address and resolve pay-related issues in coordination with payroll and management
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR communications
- Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation efforts
- Collaborate with HR leadership in Lebanon and report to the local work director
- Occasionally visit the manufacturing floor (metatarsal guard shoes reimbursed up to $150)
Years of Experience and Education
- Experience: 0–2 years in Human Resources or related field
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master’s degree accepted
- Internship Experience: Accepted as relevant experience
- Comparable Roles: HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, Customer Service Representative
