Diesel Service Advisor – Customer Support Specialist
Location: Remote (Must be able to commute to Lisle, IL office at least 2 times per quarter)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional Shifts: Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Evening 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30.50/hour, 1 week PTO
About the Role
Our Automotive client is seeking a highly motivated Service Advisor with strong diesel experience and a passion for customer service. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between dealer service departments and the customer breakdown team, ensuring timely and effective communication to minimize vehicle downtime and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for dealer service departments and customer breakdown teams.
- Manage high-volume communications regarding repair status, timelines, and escalations.
- Monitor repair progress and proactively update customers on milestones.
- Escalate issues to dealer or internal management when expectations are not met.
- Support implementation and administration of service processes.
- Coach and guide less experienced colleagues as a subject matter resource.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and 3+ years of technical truck/automotive and direct customer service experience OR 5+ years of technical truck/automotive and direct customer service experience
- Strong background in diesel systems and diagnostics
- Proven customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a Service Advisor or in a leadership role within a service department
- Strong presentation/public speaking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex service issues with minimal supervision
