? Job Purpose

Support design engineering teams with prototype bring-up, PCB assembly troubleshooting, testing, and debugging.


?? Essential Job Functions

  • 60–70% of work is PC-based
  • Use TAKAYA APT-1600FD software to create flying probe test programs
  • Inspect, test, and analyze failures in electronic assemblies
  • Conduct root cause analysis and summarize findings
  • Rework products to meet company and industry standards
  • Build test harnesses, loads, fixtures, and circuit boards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve design/process issues
  • Perform manual testing of circuits and PCBs
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create/update test documentation for prototypes
  • Design and build advanced engineering test boxes
  • Train other personnel as needed

? Required Education

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experience

? Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering (3+ years preferred)

? Required Skills

  • PCB subassembly troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Ability to read schematics and datasheets
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly skills
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing tools

? Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of PCB troubleshooting and fine-pitch soldering
  • Experience with 3D printers and PCB layout
  • Familiarity with machining materials (aluminum, steel, plastics, etc.)
  • Use of advanced test equipment (logic/spectrum analyzers)
  • Experience with John Deere electronic components and machinery
