About the Role

A leading mobile UX team is seeking a highly motivated UX Analyst with strong project management skills. This is not a hands-on design role but a heavy communication role. The candidate will own the UX design aspect of a product’s development process, review and analyze the latest UX, deliver feedback with alternative designs to internal designers, and lead communications with North American mobile carriers and global teams.

 

The candidate should possess a keen eye for good UX design with an ability to spot issues and generate ideas for improvement. They will maintain quality from a project execution perspective, identify risks, and provide tactical support. The role requires awareness of project schedules, managing meetings, anticipating roadblocks, and keeping stakeholders updated.

 

Responsibilities

  • Communicate device UX with carriers, gather feedback, and work closely with designers to enhance the mobile device experience
  • Review and analyze UX in early phases of development and deliver relevant feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product design, research, engineering, marketing) and external partners (telecommunication operators, consultants)
  • Ensure UI development meets market demand, technical specifications, and carrier requirements
  • Analyze UX of competing mobile devices and market trends
  • Conduct design research and propose new concepts with mockups
  • Conduct group usability studies and document results and analysis

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry experience or 1+ years with a Master’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred in Human Factors, HCI, Interaction Design, Usability Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, or IT
  • Deep knowledge of application architecture, software design process, and UI/UX design deliverables
  • Experience in mobile application design from research to delivering design artifacts
  • Strong time and project management skills under tight deadlines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and reporting to multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and strong ownership
  • Design and research experience required
  • Working knowledge of usability testing
  • Proficiency in design and communication tools: Adobe, Sketch, prototyping tools, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
