PRN Pharmacist

Location: On-Site

Schedule: PRN – 10 to 60 hours per month

Pay Rate: $61 per hour

**Must hold an active Alabama pharmacist license**

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Pharmacist to join our team on a PRN basis. This role ensures compliance with pharmacy regulations and supports efficient prescription processing while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficiency and completeness in prescription processing and dispensing.
  • Oversee all record keeping and licensing to guarantee accuracy and compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Review, update, and adhere to pharmacy protocols and procedures to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agency regulations.
  • Communicate issues with appropriate personnel, including remote Pharmacists and Customer Service teams.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service personnel to perform and verify order entry quantities from the customer data system; maintain communication with remote Pharmacists.
  • Maintain all required documentation, including exception reporting; participate in continuous improvement by providing input for procedural changes.
  • Assure compliance with SOPs, quality assurance standards, JCAHO requirements, local/state/federal regulations, and GMPs (if applicable).
  • Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned and as required by the Board of Pharmacy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active Alabama Pharmacist License (required).
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and remote personnel.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy protocols, SOPs, and compliance standards.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with prescription processing systems and customer data platforms.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO standards and GMPs.
