JOB SUMMARY FOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER:
Seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support harness routing and detailing for off-highway trucks. This role requires strong technical expertise in Creo, Teamcenter, and electrical systems, along with excellent communication skills for collaborating with peers and product groups. The ideal candidate will have experience in wire harness routing, reading electrical schematics, and supporting engineering processes such as FMEAs and cost rollups.


ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

  • Assignment Duration: 12-month contract (potential extension)
  • Work Arrangement: Fully onsite
  • Budget: $42–$46 per hour
  • Reason for Request: Addition due to recent organizational reorg
  • Start Date: 12/01/2025
  • Travel: 0–25% (domestic, business need only)

DEPARTMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Purpose & Structure: Part of the product engineering team supporting off-highway truck development.
  • Typical Day:
    • Use Creo and Electric Lines/Pro Cabling for harness routing
    • Detail and check prints
    • Support cost rollups, FMEA, TFCs, and other engineering responsibilities
  • Task Breakdown:
    • 70% harness routing and detailing
    • 20% documentation and checking prints
    • 10% cross-functional collaboration

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and review harness routing designs using Creo and Teamcenter
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics
  • Support engineering processes including FMEA and cost analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain attention to detail and proactively seek solutions

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Years of Experience: 8+ years

  • Lack of Creo and harness routing experience
  • No experience with electrical schematics
  • Poor communication or inability to work onsite
