Pay Rate: $40 – $42.50 per hour
Summary
The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator is responsible for conducting accurate and timely clinical reviews of behavioral health cases to determine medical necessity. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting members via telephone.

Reviewing medical records and cases involving contract interpretation of behavioral health diagnoses.

Applying medical necessity criteria across all levels of behavioral health care, from outpatient visits to acute inpatient care.
Required Qualifications

Licensure: LCPC, LCSW, RN, LMFT.

Active, current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Masters-level Behavioral Health Professional at the independent practice level.

Current clinical license in the state of operations, in good standing.

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting or private behavioral health practice.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency with PC and database systems.
