Job Summary
Join Caterpillar’s cutting-edge team responsible for system integration and validation for autonomous truck programs. You will work with advanced technologies such as HIL and SIL labs, as well as on-machine testing at the BB test track. This role involves creating test benches, executing tests, developing automation and simulation for testing, and participating in dealer/customer demonstrations. Responsibilities
- Analyze system and software requirements; create comprehensive test cases.
- Conduct system testing on HIL bench setups at the Mossville campus.
- Document issues and collaborate with software and system teams for resolution.
- Support software and model development for new dSPACE HIL system setups.
- Communicate frequently with global development teams and Cat India validation team.
- Participate in dealer/customer demonstrations and occasional proving ground activities.
Years of Experience and Education
- Experience: 3–5 years of embedded systems validation experience (internship experience accepted).
- Education: BS in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Skills Required
Top Skills
- Designing and executing test cases for complex electronic systems.
- Embedded systems validation experience; autonomous validation experience is a plus.
- Linux OS and wired/wireless networking experience.
Technical Skills (Required)
- HIL-based system testing (preferably dSPACE).
- Modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink).
- CAN tools (Vector CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, ETAS INCA).
Technical Skills (Desired)
- Test bench setup.
- Agile tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA).
- Python programming for test automation.
