Position Overview
Aon Services is seeking an Account Specialist II to support Account Executives and Brokers within the Commercial Risk business. This role is responsible for managing key servicing processes, supporting client deliverables, and ensuring operational accuracy across systems and documentation.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and outsourced Aon Client Services (ACS) partners to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Account Executives and Brokers with day-to-day account servicing activities across assigned commercial risk accounts
- Manage renewal processes, invoice processing, endorsements, certificates, and surplus lines filings
- Retrieve and maintain compliance documentation required for policy servicing and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and update systems of record (Bridge & Broker Desktop) to ensure accuracy of client deliverables
- Partner with outsourced ACS teams to ensure timely and high-quality output delivery
- Conduct pre-renewal reviews to validate timelines and accuracy of deliverables (certificates, invoices, endorsements)
- Prepare post-placement materials including policy summaries, schedules of insurance, and premium allocations
- Respond to field office requests and client inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist with resolving account discrepancies and troubleshooting client issues
- Mentor junior team members and support complex account functions
- Support special projects and participate in client and office meetings as needed
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including:
- Excel (data import/export, basic formulas, VLOOKUP preferred)
- Word (document formatting and reporting)
- Understanding of operational workflows and ability to work with moderate supervision
- Ability to obtain an insurance broker license within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance or related industry
- Experience supporting account management, broker services, or client servicing teams
