Accounts Payable Clerk – Logistics
Job Type: W2 Contract
Assignment Length: 6 months, possible extension
Work Location: Santa Ana, CA (Fully Onsite)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Pay Rate: $33.00-$34.00 per hour
Role Summary
This role supports high?volume accounts payable operations within a logistics?focused environment, ensuring accurate invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and timely payments. The Accounts Payable Clerk will collaborate closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies, support month?end close activities, and maintain accurate financial records related to logistics and supply chain costs.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP, WMS, or other ERP systems (preferred)
- Strong understanding of logistics and/or supply chain operations
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile and balance batch control totals with source documents or system listings; identify discrepancies, correct errors, and prepare adjustments
- Audit invoices and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage and reconcile vendor payables across multiple departments and accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintenance of records related to logistics costs
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly pending reports to track outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with vendors, third?party logistics (3PL) providers, and internal teams to ensure accurate payment processing
- Assist with month?end close activities, including resolving open general ledger (GL) items and accruals
- Identify and report process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, WMS, or ERP systems
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Strong understanding of logistics and/or supply chain operations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
