Power BI Specialist
Location: Peoria, IL (On-site, Full-time)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift
Job Type: W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $50 – 55/hourly with optional benefits packages including PTO, medical insurance, and 401k
Role Overview
This position supports enhancements to existing Power BI reports and the development of new reports to support the Interoperability Accreditation Framework (IAF) and Dealer Progress Tracking. The role involves migrating reports from Power BI Report Builder to Power BI Desktop and collaborating with IT teams to restructure Snowflake schemas.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT Alation Support team to restructure Snowflake schemas by introducing Domain and Subdomain fields
- Update existing Power BI reports to incorporate new Domain and Subdomain fields
- Create measures in Power BI for roll-up filtering and reporting at both Domain and Subdomain levels
- Design and propose new reports to support IAF and Dealer Progress Tracking
- Convert reports from Power BI Report Builder to Power BI Desktop
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Power BI Desktop and provide knowledge transfer to team members
- Work independently while proactively seeking clarification when needed

Typical Day
- Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to refine reporting requirements
- Update Power BI reports with enhanced filtering and roll-up capabilities
- Convert legacy reports to Power BI Desktop
- Design new reports aligned with strategic frameworks
- Provide training and support to team members
- Work on-site five days a week
Education & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
- Internships accepted if they include substantial Power BI or data analytics work

- Advanced Power BI Development: Building dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI Desktop and Service
- Data Modeling & DAX: Strong understanding of modeling concepts and proficiency in complex DAX queries
