Job Title: Analytics & Reporting Consultant
Location: Remote in IL, MT, OK, NM, TX, or TN
Job Type: 3-MONTH W2 Contract
Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8am-5pm CST
Pay: $40 per hour

Summary

This position is responsible for developing reports, insights, and analytics to support divisional business needs. The role partners closely with business stakeholders and data teams to translate requirements into actionable reporting, analyze complex datasets, and provide insights that inform strategic decision-making. May also provide consultation, lead cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support divisional objectives
  • Develop report specifications and analytical approaches based on business requirements
  • Produce datasets and reports using enterprise reporting and data tools
  • Analyze complex business problems using internal and external data sources
  • Identify, interpret, and communicate trends, patterns, and key drivers within datasets
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making
  • Interface between business stakeholders and divisional data teams to develop scalable, actionable reporting tools
  • Support strategic initiatives through research and advanced data analysis
  • Consult with users and business partners to clarify needs and recommend analytical solutions
  • Lead cross-functional projects or initiatives related to reporting and analytics
  • Build strong working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders
  • Continuously deepen understanding of divisional data, systems, and business processes
  • Validate report accuracy and ensure data integrity
  • Work independently with minimal guidance, receiving support only for the most complex issues
  • May mentor or provide guidance to junior analysts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in data analysis and information reporting

    OR 6+ years of experience in data analysis and information reporting

  • Experience using SQL, SAS, Teradata, or similar reporting tools and languages
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau, and SSIS
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and contribute to or lead functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative, “outside-in” perspective
  • Experience working with both internal and external data sources
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality
