Job Title: Appliance Technical Quality Rework Lead
Contract Duration: 3 months, possible extension
Location: Spanaway, WA
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Summary
Perform duties as a working lead supervisor to implement product quality enhancements in a warehouse environment. Occasional travel (out-of-town/overnight) required. Occasional Service Call ride along to go and see issues ‘first hand’ at the consumer installation accompanied by Factory Service personnel.

Education/Experience

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field and
  • 5 + years Industrial/Automotive/Appliance Manufacturing Quality experience or
  • 5 + years experience Appliance Service Technician

Typical Assignment

  • Inspection and/or installation of appliance product upgrade/enhancement
  • Environment is usually Domestic RDC (warehouse)
  • Work may be performed with other Supplier contractors and/or local temp labor
  • Customer Home visits with service providers to document customer pain points

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity and experience using hand tools: drills, other powered and non powered tools
  • Familiarity and experience with computers and test equipment
  • Familiarity and experience with test and inspection SOP/Instructions

Working Conditions

  • Ambient temperature in RDC
  • Working hours normally 6am-4pm
  • Interact with service providers and customers
  • Engineering provides rework instructions, parts, any specialty tools
  • Warehouse provides repacking material
  • Warehouse provides material movers and sets inventory down
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to use a computer and peripheral equipment
  • Must be familiar with spreadsheet software

Rework Examples

  • Inspect condenser fan operation on a refrigerator, replace if required
  • Install upgraded software via programmer or OTA
  • Inspect and replace glass door pack adhesive on a range

Customer Home Examples

  • Given a weekly schedule of addresses and customer calls with a service provider
  • Shadow the service provider while documenting the customers pain points
  • Gather photos/videos/failed parts and notes from the in home visit in a google form
  • Data is taken back to plants/engineers to understand root cause of issue to improve product
