POSITION: BUSINESS ANALYST (NON-IT)
JOB TYPE: W2, Onsite, First Shift 7am-4pm. M-F

JOB SUMMARY FOR BUSINESS ANALYST (NON-IT):
• The main function of a business operations specialist is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level.
• Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget.
• The business operations specialist usually reports to a project manager or director.
• Analyze and track inbound transportation.
• Work with carriers to resolve issues
• Work with reporting in SAP and other applications
• Pay Range: $24-$25/hour depending on experience and benefits package
Interaction with team:
• Direct interaction with the supplier chain and material requirements area.
Team Structure
• Reporting into the work director and transportation analyst onsite dedicated to the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BUSINESS ANALYST (NON-IT):
• Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
• Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
• Review contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
• Set up project and work breakdown structures.
• Establish and document business processes.
• Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR BUSINESS ANALYST (NON-IT):
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, finance, human resources or relevant field required.
• 0-2 years related experience required.
Additional Role Details: This role supports Transportation operations within the Supply Chain organization at the manufacturing facility, with responsibility for both domestic and international freight. Key activities include Track & Trace monitoring, transportation reporting, and close coordination with the logistics team to support inbound dock scheduling and execution.

• Good communication skills. Will need to communicate with other functions within Caterpillar, suppliers, and carriers.
