Business Analyst

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift (Hybrid – fully on-site by 2026)
Job Type: W2 contract
Pay Rate: $35 – 40/hourly with optional benefits packages including PTO, medical insurance, and 401k

Position’s Contributions to Work Group

  • Act as a Business Analyst: work with end users to resolve system issues, gather requirements, write design documents, test new functionality.
  • May progress into training new users on system functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with design developers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.

Task Breakdown:

  • Review reports to identify trends and concerns.
  • Track and troubleshoot input/processing errors.
  • Perform analysis and reporting.
  • Identify root causes of errors and propose solutions.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to ensure business process effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with management to define scope, specs, and controls for projects.
  • Ensure compatibility of new technologies with existing systems.
  • Analyze and define new processes and system requirements.
  • Assist in designing and integrating new business technologies.
  • May manage projects: plans, charters, business cases, requirements, status reports.
  • Develop specifications for system enhancements and communicate user needs to IS.
  • Create and maintain training materials, documentation, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to end users and dealers.
  • May coordinate testing activities and ensure proper documentation.
  • Participate in system and user acceptance testing.
  • May coordinate Sox audits and reporting.
  • Evaluate current business processes and their impact on FPD.
  • Collaborate with IS and support departments on project scope and deliverables.
  • Review industry best practices and assess current process effectiveness.
  • Determine appropriate systems and requirements to support processes.
  • May manage website content and user access.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement objectives.
  • Identify problem areas and develop resolutions.
  • Understand and apply the company’s Harassment policy.

Education & Experience:

  • 4-year degree in any discipline + 2 years exempt experience in relevant fields (IS, finance, marketing, etc.).
  • Progressive work experience showing increased responsibility.
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
