About the Role
We are seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities for machinery, equipment, tools, parts, and services essential to operations. This role involves supplier collaboration, inventory oversight, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure timely material availability and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services to meet operational requirements
- Review and optimize suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
- Approve purchase orders, solicit bids, and review requisitions
- Negotiate and administer supplier contracts
- Resolve issues related to undelivered or defective goods
- Monitor contract compliance and performance
- Collaborate with internal/external suppliers to ensure material availability
- Lead supplier meetings and inventory management analysis
- Drive problem-solving events and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years in purchasing, supply chain, or related field (internships accepted)
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- ERP systems (SAP MACH1 or similar)
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Education: No degree required (Bachelor’s in Business or Finance preferred)
