Job Summary
This role serves as a central analytics and project management resource supporting a global procurement team focused on steel categories. The position is responsible for driving data consolidation, delivering market intelligence insights, and building executive-level reporting across multiple regions. The individual will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing reporting consistency, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives through structured analysis and governance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain global dashboards tracking pricing indices, cost drivers, and supplier performance metrics
- Analyze market data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for procurement strategy
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews, including executive-level presentations and reporting materials
- Track and manage key initiatives, including timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
- Partner with category managers and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic sourcing activities
- Standardize analytics, reporting frameworks, and templates across global teams to improve consistency and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization
- Leverage data tools and technologies to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
Years of Experience and Education
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, business analytics, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline required
- Master’s degree may be considered in place of some experience
Skills Required
- Advanced data analytics and visualization skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, data modeling, and scenario analysis
- Experience creating executive-level presentations using PowerPoint with clear and concise storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to automate reporting, enhance analytics, and improve productivity
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Python or Power Automate preferred
- Understanding of commodity markets, cost drivers, and global supply chain dynamics (steel preferred)
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP or Ariba preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
